From research results in the United States reported that children of normal parents have a 10% chance of being fat. Opportunities will be increased to 40-50% if one parent is obese, and will increase 70-80% when both parents suffer from obesity.

Therefore, children born to parents who are obese will have a tendency to be fat. Being fat when a baby or have children may be difficult to become thin at the time of adult life because they are forming cells more than normal amount.

It’s not mean that obesity can’t be prevented. Prevent your child for not obese by measures such as:

  • Reduce intake of sugar-rich foods such as soft drinks.
  • Avoid eating fatty foods too often.
  • Reduce eating snack.
  • Get used to consume foods with adequate and balanced nutrition.
  • Eat vegetables and foods rich in fiber.
  • Do physical activity to burn calories.
