Every year number of obese children is increasing. According to statistics, 1 in 10 school-age children are overweight. Obesity will continue until they mature. It is dangerous because can lead to various diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. Plus, children who are obese may be inferior in their social life. If you don’t want something bad happen then you must teach them about diets kids.

Well, maybe diet not necessarily good solution. Plus a strict diet with slimming pill is not a good solution because it can actually disrupt their growth and health, that’s why you need to create a diet plan for kids. Every child is needs three times a day even though obese children. This is necessary to optimize their growth process that requires adequate and balanced nutrition.

Here are some solutions to overcome obesity:

1. Adjust their calorie intake.

Caloric needs should be adjusted with their activity. Active child need more caloric. But parents should also know that portions for children and adults is not the same, then give portion about ½ or 2 / 3 adults.

2. The eating method: Balanced, Diverse, Nutritious.

Meet their nutritional needs. Children who are growing requires nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, vitamins and minerals, especially calcium, zinc, magnesium, phosphorus, vitamin B and vitamin D. Therefore, give them a variety of foods such as vegetables, fruit, carbohydrates, meats, seafood, vegetable and milk proteins. It must also be balanced, not to overdo it. Reduce foods that are sweet and high fat for middle obesity. That could be a diet plan for kids which are very fit.

3. Vote for Better Option.

Arrange your diet with healthier food. Replace high fat foods with similar foods that lower fat content.

4. Do Physical Activity.

Invite them to do exercise. Do family activity together and if your child prefers to play games, choose games that require physical activity such as dance simulation. By doing regular exercise, it help children avoid obesity and also create more healthy children from disease.

5. Healthy Beverages.

Don’t forget to control beverage. It’s because obesity can result from high-calorie sweet drinks. It is evidenced by a study that says children who consume sweet drinks or soft drinks tend to be overweight than children who don’t consume these.

Get used them to drink water, because it is the best drink to replace fluids and don’t cause health risks. Therefore, always make sure your child drink 8 glasses per day to maintain body fluid balance.

Obesity can basically be prevented by setting diet and regular exercise. Parents also need to provide a good example to children by adopting a diet plan for kids in their lives.
